What is TBI
A traumatic brain injury (tbi) happens when an external force-such as a strong blow, jolt, or an object entering the skull-damages the brain. Not every hit to the head causes a tbi, but when it does, it can affect how a person thinks, moves, communicates, or behaves. Some tbis are mild and temporary, while others can cause long-term disability or
even be life-threatening.
